Thank you for your interest in FUMC Family Ministry. Below is a list of opportunities to serve in the children's ministry her at FUMC. Everyone is invited to have a role in our ministry regardless if you have children in the programs or not. We do encourage parents to find at least one role that fits their time, passion, and interest to make our ministry the best it can possibly be for our children. Our hope is that everyone can find a place to serve.
Support
Our desire is to support and equip you; not just in your role of service with children, but in your own spiritual growth journey. We want to support any needs you have as an individual or your family.
Training
There are several training options each year. In August a teacher orientation is held for all new and returning Sunday School teachers. Throughout the year trainings are provided on the topics of classroom management, Methodist history and beliefs, lesson planning, etc.

9:45 Sunday School 2years -6th grade
**Lead Teacher(also may be co-teacher)-Serves as the lead teacher for a class separated based on age group. Arrive at 9:30, set-up and greet parents. The curriculum is provided and is easy to follow.

**Assistant Teacher-Assists the teacher in projects and leading the class.
Helps with bathroom breaks for younger children. Arrive at 9:30, set-up and greet parents.

**Substitute teacher/assistant-Fills in when needed and available to fulfill the roles listed above. All efforts will be made to give substitutes as much advance notice as possible.

**Summer Sunday School Teacher/assistant-Leads a group of children for 1 Sunday or more during the summer months. Curriculum is provided.

Pumpkin Patch
**Pumpkin Patch Storytelling Coordinator-Coordinate and communicate with Cheyenne pre-schools, day-cares, and kindergarten classes to set up field trips to the Pumpkin Patch. Coordinate storytellers for the classes field trips.

**Coordinator-coordinate the decorating of the tree in Allison Hall and decorating the pre-school and elementary Sunday School areas.

Bless the Heart of a Child coordinator-
**Coordinator- coordinate the preparation of the hearts with the children's names on them; coordinate helpers (children and adults) to pass out hearts after each of the services. Coordinate an event to connect the children with their prayer pal.

Leadership Team that meets once a month for most of the year and works on the big picture of Family Ministries and the programs. Makes decisions about possible changes, as well as evaluating the ministry overall, helping to provide guidance and direction.
