Family Ministry

Welcome!
I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know about what is new and exciting in Family Ministry at First United Methodist Church.
Our goal is to transform children and youth ministry into a family journey shared by the church, the Family Ministry Team, and the family.
There are 4 categories we believe need to be consistently covered throughout the year in Family Ministry to build a strong foundation:
Heart - Enabling every person to experience the power of the Word of God and the passion of Jesus.
Head - Encouraging every person to learn about Jesus and the Christian life.
Hands - Equipping every person for intentional ministry involvement for Jesus.
Holy Habits - Expecting every person to live a daily life pleasing to Jesus by connecting their beliefs with behavior.
With these 4 categories in mind, we are developing a Milestone Ministry as a way to recognize our areas of growth and celebrate our spiritual achievements. We are building onto the many milestones currently celebrated (ex. 3rd grade Bible class, 7th grade Confirmation)
We look forward to ministering to you and your children here at First United Methodist Church, and we continue to endeavor to be a church with ministry to the entire family as an important goal.
