Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade Day Lunches

We are getting ready to welcome visitors to our city and to our church during Cheyenne Frontier Days July 23rd - August 1st.
For those of you new to our community, we have a longstanding tradition that started in 1906, of serving lunches on the days of the parades. We have finished our construction and are looking forward to welcoming the community to this new space.
We will be serving lunch on July 24th, 27th, 29th and 31st. We average 350 - 400 guests on a parade day for lunch.
We serve grilled hamburgers, and make a very tasty sloppy joe that can be added to your burger or hot dog; a cowboy salad (homemade coleslaw), and fresh veggies, dill pickles, and a selection of chips. To top off lunch we offer a ariety of home-made pies and cookies.
As you can imagine, it takes many volunteers to make this event happen, and we invite you to become a part of this tradition and volunteer 3-4 hours of your time. We are looking for volunteers to set up the tables/chairs, to come in the day before and prepare the food, and the day of the parade to serve, greet, and bus the tables.
If you can bake, slice, set up, greet, grill, serve, wash & dry dishes, and help clean up we’ve got a spot for you.
Riding on the float in the parades is a special treat for families with children. The United Methodist Men are in charge of sprucing up the float, but we will need drivers with vehicles to pull the float, and families to ride on the float.
Please call Marlyn at 632-1410 if you have a few hours to volunteer for this annual event.
