Greetings!
Let me introduce myself. I am Rev.
Trudy D. Robinson. I was raised in Southern California, West Covina to be
exact. My parents had six children, I am the youngest. I learned the
faith in the United Methodist Church, through parents, mentors, Sunday School teachers,
UMYF sponsors and pastors.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Art from
the California State University at Fullerton in 1988. I had my own Graphic
Design Company for a few years before entering the Claremont School of Theology.
My family moved to Colorado during my seminary days and I finished my Masters
of Divinity degree at the Iliff School of Theology in 1998.
I served the Westminster United Methodist
Church from 1997-2001 as Youth Pastor and then as Family Life Pastor. I served
on the pastoral team at First United Methodist Church in Loveland from 2001-2005.
In August 2005, I came to be among the people of Cheyenne, Wyoming, serving
the First United Methodist Church.
God’s word is alive and God is active
through the incarnation of Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit. I believe
in the power of community to build faith and manifest the love of God, to nurture,
support, and care for those near and far, strangers and friends. The United
Methodist Church’s slogan is “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors!” It is
the only appropriate stance of a church called to share God’s grace. God’s
grace is extended to all!
We invite you to be a part of what God
is doing among the people of the First United Methodist Church of Cheyenne.
